Iowa City Yacht Club: Home
Congratulations to Nifty Mountain PowWow for winning the Camp Euforia Battle of the Bands II
Open 6pm to 2am Monday to Saturday
The Yacht Club is Iowa City's main source for live music set in an environment where you truly are part of the music. We have entertainment 6 nights a week with friendly servers, a coat check, ventilation system, plus serve tater tots! Trust us when we say this is not a financial endeavor - it really is about having a great time.
The Yacht Club is located in the basement of 13 S Linn St in a building built in 1918 in downtown Iowa City. The exterior of the building has remained basically unchanged since it was built and was restored in 2000. Our entryway has recently been remodeled in the hopes to improve upon your Yacht Club experience. Another great thing about our location is that there is free parking right across the street if you leave after midnight on weekdays and after 3am on weekends.
We are here for your fun - plain and simple. We are not some out of town corporation and we are not some small time bar owner trying to squeeze the life out of each penny. If at the end of the night we break even but the band was great and you had a ton of fun, then we consider that a win. This has been our mission since the day we first opened and we still consider this our goal in life to this day.

O' the rockets red glare over our shed
O watch man take his guitar and shred
That's right, just after fireworks on the pentacrest - one of the coolest visuals ever, Daddy-O and crew will tear it up down here!

Come down for Euforquestra's ped mall set and stay for some face melting jams.
Emerging out of a weekly stint at Chicago’s legendary Wise Fools Pub in January 2007, The Hue has played alongside some of the nation’s best acts including The Wood Brothers, Karl Denson, Garaj Mahal, New Monsoon, The Motet, The Breakfast, and members of Umphrey’s McGee. For the past two years they’ve brought their aggressive progressive fusion to venues across the Midwest, making stops at the 2008 Summercamp and 10,000 Lakes Festivals along the way.
Since releasing the debut EP, Unscene, to a near-capacity crowd at Chicago’s Kinetic Playground in November 2007, The Hue have finished recording a full-length album to be released later this year, which features keyboard virtuoso Eric Levy (Garaj Mahal) on one song. The unnamed album is comprised mostly of brand-new material, and captures the intensity of the band’s live shows while showcasing the strength of the compositions themselves.
